I was so happy on hearing that Singapore won the bid to host the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in 2010 against Moscow.
I was happier when I saw how six of our very own pilots - Black Knights soared the skies in dare-devil aerobatic stunts during the inaugural Singapore Airshow at the new Changi Exhibition Centre.
Together with my hubby, we took Kieran there on the last day of the show on Sun, 24 Feb. We braved through the 1h30m show under blazing sun, it was awesome with stunts performed by the American, Korean and Australian teams. I like the heart and cupid's bow formation executed by the Black Knights to celebrate Valentine's with all visitors.

Happy Valentine's

... to those I care (you know who you are).
This CNY has been an eventful period for me - not all bright and cheery. I'm not going to rattle what it was but it certainly made me very unhappy and unsettled.
I must thank those who helped in one way or another.

Heart-wrenching
Hubby told me there was a report on abuse to a 2-month old baby over news last night. I missed it as I was fast asleep.
As I was surfing the web today, I stumbled upon the video link to the said abuse. It was heart-wrenching watching the clips. I had Yani joined me and we were flabbergasted.
Comments made to the parents of the baby were extremes. Some blamed the parents for leaving the baby with a maid alone. But they don't understand the real reason why it was so. Ever since women were encouraged to return to the workforce years ago to make our nation as robust as it is today, the "perfect" family structure where mom minds the kids and dad brings home the bacon is lost. In today's economy, it is a very painful and difficult decision for most couples to decide whether the wife (or husband for that matter) should stay at home. Being a SAHM(H) is perfect, there's no doubt about it in my own opinion, but it is easily said than done to some.
CNY cheer
Kieran and Raeyen are now at the Kindy celebrating CNY with all the kids. They wore traditional CNY costumes and before we stepped out of our house this morning, I quickly snapped a few shots.
I am on leave today and will bring Raeyen to the airport with my sister to fetch my brother and family from the airport as they return from Perth for CNY holiday! Raeyen will be thrilled for an outing and to see his favourite relatives.
Here's wishing everyone a very
Prosperous, Healthy and Happy Chinese New Year
